A panoramic teeth x-ray picture, otherwise called orthopantomogram, is an auxiliary diagnostic and treatment measure. It provides a full image of all teeth and jaws. The test is done in order to assess the condition of all teeth and alveolar bone prior to endodontal treatment (e.g. teeth implantation).
In our clinic, the newest generation digital CARESTREAM 8100 3D teeth X-ray apparatus is used. We make not only panoramic X-rays, but also jaw tomography scans.
The latter ones do not only show a real image of jaws and areas around them, but also allow the doctor to plan all stages of surgical treatment precisely.
In our clinic, x-ray diagnostics is safe, fast and informative. Owing to the newest technologies the patient gets the minimum radiation dose, whereas imaging lasts for hardly several seconds. One of the advantages of digital technologies is that the doctor sees an image in his computer, may analyse it using the special software. Test scans may be sent by e-mail or be recorded on computer media.
